NASCAR Media Group wants you to have a successful weekend in accomplishing your production goals. In order to help you do that, listed below is some information which needs to be shared with your crew:

  1. All crew members:
    1. Must be at least 18 years of age and furnish a photo ID (drivers license) to pick up credentials.
    2. Long pants are required in order to gain entrance into the garage area and pit road. Shorts are permissible in the infield, grandstands, and parking lots.
    3. Wear shirts with sleeves. This is required in the garage area and pit road. Muscle shirts, halter tops, sleeveless vests and bare midriffs are not allowed.
    4. Wear closed-toed shoes. Required while working in the pits and the garage area. Sandals and bare feet are not permitted.
  2. Make your crew aware of the need for caution and constant attention to their surroundings.
  3. Once the credential list has been submitted to the track, name changes can be difficult to accommodate. If there is a change, contact Cheryl Hamilton (704-507-0113) as soon as possible.
  4. NASCAR OFFICIALS HAVE THE FINAL RULING ON ALL ACTIVITY IN AND AROUND THE GARAGE/PIT AREAS AS WELL AS ALL ON-TRACK ACTIVITY. When they ask a crew member to act, the crew member must do so immediately without question. Failure to do so may result in the revocation of credentials.
  5. If you are in the garage area, only videographers from NASCAR Media Group and the host broadcaster (FOX Sports and ESPN; not local affiliates or production companies) are allowed in the garage stalls.
  6. Under no circumstances can you touch a racecar without permission from the team owner, crew chief or driver. Do not move any equipment, tools or tires without the permission of the crew involved.
  7. DO NOT ask for any autographs at any time. The credentials you are issued are working credentials, not fan credentials. If you want an autograph from the driver or team(s) you are working with, see the team PR person for the proper procedure.
  8. The garage/pit area is an extremely loud environment. Hearing protection is advised.
  9. Be aware of your equipment at all times. Items left lying about the garage are sometimes moved.
  10. Each crew member must display their credential at all times while in the garage/pit area. Failure to do so could possibly result in ejection.
  11. Swapping of credentials or allowing another to use them is strictly forbidden. Reproduction of credentials, camera stickers and parking passes is also prohibited.
  12. Camera stickers MUST be displayed for all video/film cameras on track property. See Cheryl Hamilton (Manager, Track Access, NASCAR Media Group) when you pick up your credentials.
  13. You may find it useful to rent a golf cart. These can be secured through the track.
  14. Catering can be arranged through the track and food service is available. Outside caterers and craft services are not allowed.

When completed, email or print/fax this form to: gramsey@nascar.com or (704) 523-8459. Once your request is approved, we will be in contact to complete the proper access and license agreements.
